"Do they ever stop partying? Probably not...I gotta say that's one thing Eddan has going for itself..."
A Festival for the Sunlight
Eddan prides itself in its many festivals. While the summer solstice doesn’t have much religious significance to the city, it’s surged back into popularity as a holiday partly due to the city’s curfew. More daylight means more time to be out and about and to party!
It’s for this reason that the rest of the week is a holiday for most of the city. Everywhere people look, the city is decorated in bright flowers and lights that light up even the darkest of night (although everyone is warned to stay inside regardless).
A music festival with rock and electronic concerts is being arranged in Point-à-Tarte's park. Many great local acts are scheduled to take the stage until sunset, though that won’t be enough for some. The party will move into bunkers and underground clubs once the sun goes down, with the pounding beat of the music lasting until dawn.

The Arrows Never Lie
However for the Awakened, they will soon notice something odd. Some of the festival goers around them will take on a different appearance if they don’t look at them directly. If that’s not enough for someone to notice, the red arrows that begin to appear over their heads with the same symbol from Applenet is a pretty big clue.
No one else seems to notice, however. Not even the people themselves.
However if an Awakened person gets closer to one of them, a disclaimer will appear on their phone.
"Don't overdo it, got it? If you shake their brain too much, it might be dangerous. But keep a close eye on them for me, won't ya? Don't give them multiple headaches! That's bad!"
[OOC: If Awakened speak with non-Awakened characters, their conversations may bring little bits of memory back to them. However, be careful! If they overload them with memories they might attract the attention of something they wouldn't want to. Let us know if that happens!]

[Hm, hm. Choices, choices.]
Well I was thinking some kind of beef bowl, but pork ramen sounds really good, too! I'm in a kind of meat mood...

[He was making himself hungry and he was already AT the restaurant. He couldn't wait to actually get some food.]
no subject
[He looks at the menu and waits to order, getting a beef bowl and some gyoza.]
Your turn.
[Out of the corner of Jaune's eye, he'll see a furry tail wagging - though it's not there when he looks at it more directly, obviously.]
no subject
And every time he tries to focus on the tail it vanishes--so maybe he's actually seeing things. That was a possibility right?]
Huh? Oh, right. I'll have the pork ramen.
[He places his order as well, rubbing at his forehead as he tries to get the pieces to fall together or at least stop rolling around in circles.]
no subject
Are you sure you're okay? You look like you're getting a headache, too.
no subject
I just have a lot on my mind and I haven't been sleeping very well lately. It's not really a headache though, at least not yet.

[He pats John on the shoulder gently, smiling.]
no subject
[He smiles though at the hand on the shoulder. It's reassuring if nothing else--even if Kei doesn't know what he's on the brink of.] Same to you.
no subject
[He smiles a little sheepishly, before pulling his hand away.]
I just... want you to feel good. We country kids have to stick together, right?
no subject
[Maybe he can think of another way to talk about everything that's happening, though he knows soon enough it will be out in the open. He just hopes Kei will understand.
In the meantime, their order of gyoza and the ramen is delivered. Time to start eating before they have to head for their concert.]
Oh man...it smells as good as it looks.
no subject
[TIME TO START NOMMING WITH INHUMAN SPEED. Ugh how long has it been since he's had a really good beef bowl?]
no subject
Besides, if they're eating that means John doesn't have to worry about awkward questions that might blow up Kei's mind apparently. Thanks app.]

Hey! You got the tickets--let me get the grub.
no subject
[He waves John off a bit, though he doesn't actually look annoyed.]
no subject
So do you know much about this group that we're going to see?

Cool. I don't really keep up with stuff like that, though mom is really trying to get more people to come perform at the cafe on the weekends I think. Maybe you can help me find some groups that would be good for that.

[He holds the door open for John.]
I'd love to be in a band, but I just don't have the musical skill for it.

[He makes a face. Ew, no.]

[He thinks about his life as Jaune. How being a Huntsman had seemed impossible and yet it was all he had wanted to do. John...John didn't have that kind of dedication to something. Sure, he wanted to DO something with his life, but there was nothing as clear cut for him here.]
[He mutters under his breath.]Especially now...
[What future did he really have here? Was this the life he should be worried about? He still went to school, so a part of him must have thought that was important. Of course there was also just the logistics of having to explain dropping out.
It was easier just to keep going and play at figuring out what John could do.
Besides, there was every possibility that he'd be here for awhile and would need SOMETHING to do in the daylight hours.]

[And he'd hoped that his parents could lay off lecturing him, but no. They had to keep pushing him about what subjects he was thinking of taking like a year and a half out.]
Man, I came here to get away from that stuff... guess 'love' knows no distance or whatever.
