"Do they ever stop partying? Probably not...I gotta say that's one thing Eddan has going for itself..."
A Festival for the Sunlight
Eddan prides itself in its many festivals. While the summer solstice doesn’t have much religious significance to the city, it’s surged back into popularity as a holiday partly due to the city’s curfew. More daylight means more time to be out and about and to party!
It’s for this reason that the rest of the week is a holiday for most of the city. Everywhere people look, the city is decorated in bright flowers and lights that light up even the darkest of night (although everyone is warned to stay inside regardless).
A music festival with rock and electronic concerts is being arranged in Point-à-Tarte's park. Many great local acts are scheduled to take the stage until sunset, though that won’t be enough for some. The party will move into bunkers and underground clubs once the sun goes down, with the pounding beat of the music lasting until dawn.

The Arrows Never Lie
However for the Awakened, they will soon notice something odd. Some of the festival goers around them will take on a different appearance if they don’t look at them directly. If that’s not enough for someone to notice, the red arrows that begin to appear over their heads with the same symbol from Applenet is a pretty big clue.
No one else seems to notice, however. Not even the people themselves.
However if an Awakened person gets closer to one of them, a disclaimer will appear on their phone.
"Don't overdo it, got it? If you shake their brain too much, it might be dangerous. But keep a close eye on them for me, won't ya? Don't give them multiple headaches! That's bad!"
[OOC: If Awakened speak with non-Awakened characters, their conversations may bring little bits of memory back to them. However, be careful! If they overload them with memories they might attract the attention of something they wouldn't want to. Let us know if that happens!]

[Kei loves parties. He loves pretty much any party he can get, which is why you'll find him flitting in between performances. He's staying clear of any cops - he's got a bad record with them. But classical music? He's there, if looking a little antsy. Rock? He's holding up his phone with a digital lighter on it (though some might notice the app icon blinking in the corner). EDM? He is there for the oontz oontz.]
II
[The arrows are kind of obvious... though not to Kei. As he's moving around, Awakened might see something odd out of the corner of their eyes. Kei's respectable height vanishes, leaving something small and fuzzy, about a foot and a half high. It's difficult to tell just what, since his normal appearance returns when they look at him more closely, but... is that a tail?]
II
[It was perhaps about a few hours until sunset--conversations around him were already abuzz with which party or club to hit up tonight. John wasn't TOO interested in that, although he was having such a nice time at the concert that he wasn't sure if he was quite ready to call it a night either.
He'd left his seat to get snacks and was now returning with some popcorn when he first noticed the icons above everyone's head. He was mostly trying to ignore them, but that wasn't exactly easy--his eyes kept drifting up. He glances at the message on his phone and sighs.]
Why can't I ever just have a normal evening?
[He's passing by a seat and does a double take.]
Huh? O-oh. Kei. I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see you out here.
[That was weird he thought there had been something else there for a second. But it was just his friend Kei...with one of those icons above his head. John might look at it a bit too long and he mentally curses himself.]
How's it going?

[Summer solstice is known to be a holiday where you can enjoy the sun all day and because everyone is enjoying the festivities all week, it's a good week for Armand to relax and take his worries away from the app and the news.
During daytime, you may see strolling around one of the parks enjoying the sights of flowers and every resident enjoying the sunshine as well resting at the some of the cafes nearby. Heck, if you're a student regardless of your cycle, he might approach you to try to have a nice chat.
At sunset, you can able to encounter him listening to some acoustic local bands. Hey, even he can't get enough with the unplugged versions of some popular songs of today.]
II.
[Unlike everyone else, there's seem no signs of Armand taking on different appearances to the Awakened's eyes. However, that doesn't mean he is safe from the red arrows on his head.
If you want to investigate him though, be my guest.]
II
[He approaches the man, glancing at the app that suddenly has a message for him. ... Huh.]

[Music is nice, and 2B shared such a sentiment as she sat on the grass and listened to the local talent on the festival stage. She actually may have smiled, but that might just be the figment of your imagination.]

Still. Ciro is staring at it with a dull gaze, looking tired already.

[Pointe-à-Tarte is pretty nice. The park is massive, and it isn't hard to find a spot to go where he can sit down with a sketchbook and doodle. Back home, as he keeps thinking of it, Sakuma wasn't necessarily into art -- he wasn't terrible at drawing, but he had no real interest in it. Soccer took up most of his time. But Yoshio always drew, since he was small, so he's decently skilled for a fourteen-year-old. He's not 'the kid who draws', in his classes, but it's a hobby.
Subjects today include passers-by, flowers, and seabirds. He can be found in many different places -- tucked up in between two planters, sitting on rocks out closer to the water, or just at a picnic table. This is how he notices the people with the indicators -- they walk by him a ton. Someone with one passes directly in front of him at one point and his phone buzzes -- to a message from Luci. Sakuma stares down at it, then looks directly back up at the person walking past him. Is this one of the newbies to the app?]
2 - for Awakened
[When he's not drawing, Sakuma is wandering the festival, relocating to different areas of the park. Sometimes he's visible with a notebook, but the text itself is in Japanese. Whatever he's writing, he's pretty busy about it, though if he notices that anyone is paying attention to him while he's doing this, he'll close his notebook and change to his sketchbook until he's out of the spotlight again.
If another Awakened speaks to him about this, though, he'll have questions for them.]
You've seen those indicators, haven't you?

Zack Fair | [Kenichi Gomez] | Open to All
While the phone app was just plain bizarre, there was no point in thinking nonstop about it. That wasn't Ken's style, after all. And while the holiday was nice, it meant little for those involved in the service industry where business seemed to go into full-blown overtime. Finally having a break in his shift, Ken took the time to ditch the apron for a few hours until the evening to explore around the festival and take in some of the sights. Not that he had any control over the menu or anything, but maybe he'd find some new ideas for cooking at home! But the heat wasn't pleasant at all; fanning himself with a holiday-themed hand fan, he wandered about.

It made him want to escape somewhere, away from this mass of humanity, except for one thing. He had a responsibility, he felt, with the powers he'd been bestowed. Could he, in good conscience, just abandon the fight because he felt different from everyone else? No, he could not.
What he could get was rather distracted by the icon over Ken's head. What was that? It disappeared as soon as he looked at Ken.

Ciro Bonavida / Chikusa Kakimoto - ota
[Honestly.... a festival is the last thing he wants to get involved, whether with Ciro's mindset or Chikusa's. There's studying to do on the mundane side of things (although he's starting to suspect he doesn't need it), and more dire matters on the Persona front, and either way he's just plain tired... But that's not something he can really indulge for too long. It's only relatively recently that he was able to get back into Ciro's usual schedule with not too much trouble besides a concerned school therapist... He has to keep up the act if he doesn't want to draw suspicion to himself.]
[It's not a game Chikusa is used to playing, but all he can do is try to adjust. After all, it's not like he has a choice.]
[So here he is at one of the festivals, wearing of all things a beanie (although it seems knit at least) as he joins the crowd for what looks like a EDM concert. As the crowds start to fill the space, however, his shoulders hunch up higher and higher, and...]
[...Mm. Yep. He sure is trying to find a tree to climb up into...]
[Ciro didn't have this extent of a problem with crowds, he thinks...]
B - Out to Eat
[Alright... This is really too much. So, best he can, he's tried to find refuge at an outdoor cafe, and one can find him flipping through the apps on his phone.]
...There has to be some sort of quieter activity for this holiday...

one;
[although Emily's social circle is respectably healthy for a teenage girl, there are some days when it feels just as nice to go out on one's own. after the strange occurrences with her phone - and whatever that feeling had been - the solstice festival offered just such a lovely opportunity. it was hard to find time for troubling self-reflection among so much color and sound.
Emily herself is sporting a lovely flower crown on her head which serves a secondary purpose; as twilight begins to creep in with the approach of sunset, the flexible glo-headband she'd cleverly woven into the crown makes itself known. whether you catch sight of her then or earlier in the day, it's a very cute setup.
it doesn't appear to be enough to satisfy her floral appetite, however, as she's currently checking out the flower display. as she peers at the lovely blossoms all around, she can't help but murmur to herself.]
I wonder if any of these are really hardy..?
[it's not for her this time. she's thinking of bringing something back to her parents' daycare to give the kids a way to learn about responsibility.]
two;
[the concerts are pretty nice, but some of the attendees could definitely use a refresher course in manners. they have so few opportunities to really take advantage of the way they can with the solstice, and so they're diving into partying with an almost reckless abandon.
it's entirely reckless abandon for people like Emily, just a little too slight to do well alone in frantic crowds. she'd only wanted to listen to a little music and soak up some of the atmosphere, but instead finds herself exiting rapidly after being unable to stop anyone from jostling her around a little too roughly.]
Geez.
[her cheeks puff out in silent indignation as she pulls her flower crown off her head to inspect the damage. honestly, none of that was called for.]

Are you alright? No one hurt you, did they?

[Holidays always meant a lunch rush. Jaune was currently working as a bus boy this time. Sometimes he waited tables, sometimes he was cooking, and some days he just got stuck with clean up duty. As such, sometimes he has a little more time to chat while he waits for patrons to leave the Blue French Horn. He's more likely to speak to you if your a regular customer, a fellow Awakened, or a friend from school.
Or, if he notices something weird out of the corner of his eye,
trips, and spills a half-full drink onto your table.]
Oh man! I am so sorry! I'll get something to clean that up with--hold on!

B. After Work
[What a rough day. John decides to end the evening at one of the outdoor concerts. He has a blanket and is seated to just listen. However, he looks a little distracted as his gaze sometimes wanders to other people. He's figured out that no one else notices them, but there are little arrows above some people and he's caught sight of something a few times. It makes him uneasy...so if you approach him from behind he might jump.
Try not to startle him too badly...]

Delilah Attanto/Emily Kaldwin OPEN
[Delilah can be spotted all around Point-à-Tarte during the festival and barring her spending time at more mellow concerts, she seems to be perpetually peeved. She just couldn't stand that so many people just had to show up to one of her favorite spots when she really wanted to just relax, relax like how she couldn't relax back at home with studying and the Weird Phone Shit looming over her head.]
[Maybe you spot her in a concert, or at a food stand or maybe you spot her by one of the more remote spots like one of the beaches. But once you catch her eyes, she'll raise a hand in greeting]

[Kouyuki has come to Point-à-Tarte with his brother, but after agreeing to meet back up later, they go their separate ways, each keen on exploring different things and looking for different people. Or, in Kouyuki's case, looking for a good place to leave some new clues, which has him intently investigating an area near a digital city clock looking completely innocent...
Of course, trying to find creative hiding places is tiring work, and around midday he'll stop across the street at one of the cafes. There's a menu board outside on the street that he's staring at, and depicted in paint marker are several different drinks that are on sale today.]
Hm...should I get a Vanilla Frappuccino or the MystiKoi one?
[Once refreshed, he'll be easy to spot racing through the park or playing a game of basketball with some kids from the area. He isn't very tall, but as with most things he seems to set his mind to, he plays rather well...and competitively.
Maybe it's that spark of his that has drawn a small crowd, or perhaps it's the influence of the music that can be heard playing everywhere? Either way, if Kouyuki happens to notice anyone watching the game with especial interest, he'll toss them the ball and invite them to join.]
You know how to play, right?
[As for any Awakened who encounters Kouyuki, they will notice that he is among those attending the festival with a red indicator above his head. Of course, he doesn't seem to be any more aware of that than the subtle way his appearance will seem to shift for those looking at him from just the right angle — or not-looking, as it were. Eyes a soft blue-gray flicker gold and back again, and there wrapped about his neck is a white scarf that hangs low over his chest. Sometimes, the curve of his smile will appear just a little sharper, and even his hair will appear more wild...]
Kidou: Bespectacle Yourself 🕶 Don't CAUSE A Spectacle!
[At some point, Kouyuki and Michi find one another again in the park. There's still plenty of daylight left, but for all that Kouyuki has been very busy, he's worked up something of an appetite. He suggests getting something to eat, enough for both of them to share, and on their way back toward one of the picnic tables with their tiny hoard he asks his little brother to hold the food...]
Go ahead, I'll catch up. I can feel my shoelace coming loose.
[While he was roaming around earlier, he happened by some faux flower decorations that would keep well throughout the day. One blossom in particular caught his attention for its bright pink and white striped petals, and pulling it form the arrangement, Kouyuki had secured it flat against his ankle and beneath a layer of a folded down sock.
While Michi takes the food toward the table, Kouyuki frees the little flower and does his best to sneak up quietly, and quickly, behind him. He never did get to properly flower Michi's hair during the last festival, but this is about more than winning their silly little war. His little brother hasn't been quite himself lately. He tries to hide it, but Kouyuki sees those changes. Right down to those sunglasses he's wearing.
Sunglasses Kouyuki's decided he wants to get a closer look at! And if his diversion goes as planned, that flower will slide neatly right in the back of Michi's dreadlocks and allow him to pluck his sunglasses right off his face!]
KOUYUKI!! uh, I mean... spectacle
Plus, it gives him a chance to mull things over for a little while.
Between that marker over his head and the song that Kouyuki somehow knew, he couldn't shake the certainty that Onii-san had to be on that app right now. Kidou refused to say a word about it. He's increasingly grateful every day for the sunglasses hiding where his eyes were; he couldn't keep his gaze from straying to that indicator completely.
What was he going to do about this? What could he do? And more importantly, who-
Kidou's distracted. His hands are both occupied. This internal monologue is promptly interrupted by a deft motion right behind him of something thin sliding directly against the back of his head, into his ponytail.
And a followup deft motion of that hand, once it's there, snatching the sunglasses right off of his face.
Kidou goes completely stiff, having to fight the urge to whirl around. He can't reach back to get it without risking the food from one of them. While it wasn't the same as his goggles, those sunglasses had meaning. They were quite literally all he had to try to feel at least a little bit normal in a world that didn't expect him to be. And Kouyuki took them!
That flash of indignation only lasts until he's managed to get Kouyuki in his peripheral vision. ... because, Kidou thinks as he starts to turn around, he really doesn't know better. His older brother would never deliberately hurt him. He'd been trying to get them for a while and 'Michi' never said a word about it. He'd evade him or dance just out of reach, or somehow make it difficult until Kouyuki had to stop. He knew Kouyuki well enough to know that, in hindsight, he'd invited this. He even knew this moment might come enough to prepare for it. So what could he do, invite it more? Draw attention to the fact that overnight Michi grew an attachment to a pair of sunglasses? He certainly can't begin to explain why not to do that! And saying not to would mean that he'd be asked why.
Michi's reaction would be to hastily set the food down and give chase to get those back, probably yelling. But Kidou's entire reaction is based on staying presentable and calm at all costs. His mouth snaps shut again, eyes narrowing His shoulders don't grow less tense, but they lower again. His jaw is tense from clenching his jaw, but he makes no verbal objection. As much as it eats at him, reacting at all is not an option right now. For the moment, his head freezes mid-turn, then turns back around. And keeps going.
He'll just have to endure this and pretend it isn't as humiliating as it feels for the few more moments it takes until he can get one hand free. He doesn't even check what's in his hair until he's set the food down.]
