AWAKENING

Who: Everyone
When: Midnight, June 6th
Where: Green Valley Orchids
What: It is time.

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN

The subway stop near the orchards was not the type of place that most people liked to be when darkness fell. The orchards near the school were set up almost like a public park, which wasn’t so bad in and of itself, but it’s also the area where over half of the murders happened before the curfew was first put in place. It was a place people didn't go unless absolutely necessary and most had started taking alternate routes to avoid the stop. As one of the first subway stations built in the city, its architecture didn't really mesh with those that came after it. It had jagged corners where the smell of wet earth lingered, making it unpleasant even for those brave enough to continue to use it, and there had even been talk of closing it permanently once routes and nearby stations had been revamped to be better able to take care of the traffic.

Due to this, it only has the bare-bones of a shelter, fallen into disrepair as the curfew was enforced city-wide, and a couple of night guards, (probably already asleep due to the lack of activity they’re expecting), so characters arriving there will be mostly unnoticed. For a place that had such a bad history, most people rightfully avoid it.

For most of them it will be their first meeting with each other. There will be a bit of time to talk before their phones display a zero. Plenty of time to talk about what they suspect and what might just happen...and that horrible vision they had shared. Then there’s that countdown on their phones...ticking away the last few minutes.
ZERO UNTIL MIDNIGHT
The lights go out when the countdown ends. The lack of sound is, for lack of better word, worrying. Very soon, only the light of the phones serves as makeshift flashlights for the small group. But soon, even as words get displayed, a deep male voice echoes, which could be much more worrying.

FINALLY! Ahahahahah! Ahhh, damn does it feel nice to be able to speak and not
just write. Hey lambs, are you all ready?

Considering the choice of words, that might be Luci.

It's time. Can you feel your heartbeats increasing? Your mind about to explode? Questions swirling in your mind? Just make sure you don't go alone. Groups are
best, go all together and you'll never find the answers.

The voice laughs again.

Not that you have much of a choice at this point! Have fun, give them hell, and tell
them I sent you! I'll be taking care of that pesky guard problem for you.
...Let's go for a night stroll."
Communication ends just as abruptly as it started. No time to back down now, as the door where the guards are staying is quickly locked on its own before the subway system itself appears to be taken over by a virus that flashes on every available screen. With a click, the locked doors to the outside are swung open.

A voice in your mind warns you this might be the biggest mistake you'll be making in your entire life...and yet your heart feels like it's going to burst from your body from the joy you feel...

AWAKENING

It begins with a scream nearby. The same noise that they heard during the vision. The trees begin to turn grey as the sounds of hundred of creatures moving can be heard from all sides. The application opens, displaying them all in real time.

The group is surrounded.

By all logic, they should be running, but their legs feel bolted to the ground. They can't move.

The creatures begin to get closer. The trees start to rot nearby.

Breathing begins to increase. The sound of voices and memories quickly flashing before their eyes that might cause some to clutch at their head...exactly the same thing that the man had been doing back in the vision. If they look down at their hands, they will see them fading, see-through.

Yet for them, something is different. Just as the creatures are about to attack, they stop. A vision of the Velvet Room flashes before the eyes of those gathered as the two attendants silently nod. Then a return to reality as a light of color pierces the night from their hearts. A single voice can be heard, drowning out anything they might be hearing.
The time is now. I am thou, thou art I! Your mind is trapped, but I can set your soul free! My other self, will you die, or fight back?

Accept me for who I am! Forge this contract by letting go of your fears! Revolt against this world, and TEAR OUT YOUR HEART!

It laughs and fades, as time quickly returns to this world. There's only a few seconds to react before it all goes to hell. A faded hand to reach into your chest.

The choice is yours. Death...or Awakening.
THE BATTLE IN APPLE GROVE

It’s a feeling unlike they have ever felt. Never have their bodies been so alive. Their minds fill with lost memories, their bodies adapting into tools to defeat the creatures before them.

Defeat...destroy...unlock the skills of your heart and show them what it means
to cross you."

The voice is encouraging, almost. To those with navigator skills, the voice speaks up once more as well.

Lead them into battle. Hone their skills into true annihilation!"

It’s time to reclaim the night.

[OOC: For the purpose of this battle, the shadows all have 1HP and are strong against nothing. That means any attack will be able to kill them, weapons and guns included. For this log only, CHARACTERS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMBINE SPELLS, as knowledge of this will be unlocked later on. There are about a HUNDRED shadows to be defeated, so there are as many needed for your characters to enjoy killing off. You are free to NPC them and to create situations and close calls.

An OOC PLANNING POST can be used to ask questions or to form teams.]

So... anyone want some water?

[Ever since he arrived, Michi stays huddled off to the side. He alters between talking a lot and being absolutely silent, head frequently weaving around to try to see glimpses of something coming after them. The slightest sound is enough to make him jump. He's clearly scared out of his mind, but nonetheless, he is determined that he'll be here.]

It's just a few minutes left now... oh, no. I forgot. I was going to leave a note so they'd know what happened... just in case...

[He sinks down to the ground, perched on the balls of his feet. He pulls his backpack off his back, pulls out every water bottle he could find in the house. Which, given that he does track, turned out to be a decent amount. Some were fished back out of the recycling box in the kitchen, but who is going to care about that?]

Anyway, there's water. If anyone wants water. It's here if no one does, too. I couldn't think of anything else.

The most insane thing he's ever done

[The command rings solidly in his mind, silent but as deafening as a cannon, echoing over and over in increasing volume. It feels like color strips away from the world, draining into his chest. Tear out your heart, the voice demands. The glow increases. Time decreases. There's a ringing sound in his ears.

Tear out your heart.

He can't feel his hand against his chest, but he can feel his heartbeat against his hand, racing so fast that it burns. All at once, the sound stops and his hand is around his heart, feeling it pulse in his fingers. The whole world ends in that crash of cold shock that numbs his whole body to everything else but the

pure

mindshattering

agony.

Michi falls to his knees, head tilted up, throat raw and he can't hear it. He curls up onto the ground, arching his back to try to ball up and clutch at his chest. The terrifying stillness doesn't change. Michi was right. This was suicide. And he would never be coming back.

Through the deafening silence, there's nothing to drown out knowledge - the tall figure in a purple suit... that was Kageyama. It was absurd to think there could ever be a time when Kidou didn't know all that man had done. That magazine in his hands as he ran through the orphanage wasn't a mystery; it was the one bond he had left to a man he couldn't remember the face of. Teikoku, Raimon, his father, Zeus, Aliea Academy - Haruna. Soccer. Control. In one euphoric rush, he can hear who he is as if announced on the field:

Genius game maker Kidou Yuuto.

With a deep thump in his chest, the pain runs back out to his extremities, chased away by a searing warmth that leaves his whole body vibrating with power. He hadn't realized that at some point his eyes were closed until he opens them again to find his vision restricted. As it should be. He rises up to one knee, feeling his cape slide around his shoulders. Kidou doesn't question either of these things; they're simply facts in his world. How he's always been.

He would question the sniper rifle in his hand, but there's no time. He straightens to his feet, instinctively hooking his foot onto the soccer ball in front of him, and stands tall and defiant against the horrors that would hurt this world. Terror and rage no longer are at war inside of him, but twine together into a single line of cold determination, honing his mind into a sharp weapon.

His shadow stretches out... and out... and out... and rises out of the ground as two shadowy people carrying a platform-style litter - complete with stylized penguin wings folded at its sides - atop which a penguin head attached to a cloak silently floats. Kidou freezes as he sees it, the dark joy that filled him freezing into a shot of icy dread. He mutters something, half of a thought that didn't quite stay quiet-]

...with a brilliant commander on your side, the battle is won before it even starts...

[The world isn't prone to wait for anyone to get their mind in gear. The monsters aren't pausing anymore, but start oozing forward again with deadly purpose. Kidou only realizes too late that they're not stalling anymore while he is, and has only enough time to stare in horror at claws inches away from him.

He'll react, but probably not in time to avoid getting clawed. Maybe someone should step in here.]

Reclaim the night

[With his second weapon being something his feet can wield, it seems so easy to maneuver the field and mix what he's doing. The soccer ball doesn't have much effective range. But the sniper rifle does. And he's so used to not seeing his immediate surroundings that it's little hindrance to keep the scope to his face most of the time. He can feel through the ground if something nears him. He can feel the air pressure change and hear it. He's got enough time to react.

But Kidou's not looking for targets as much as he's looking for opportunities - people who need to be streamlined. Things that other fighters don't notice. Ways he can be useful. His mind snaps out an order the moment he notices - that person's taken out one, but there's three more that moved into attack position behind them. No time to turn around. But he can order them to dodge-]

Move two feet your left!

[With one shot from his rifle, one of the shadows is gone.]

Take them out!

[I'll match your formatting. If you want anything else, just ask for a prompt or reply with another one!]

Thanks.

[ don't mind mako, just coming on in to grab a bottle of water. he looks pretty concerned for what's about to come, whatever it may be...the water will help with his dry throat, at least. ]

Good thinking on your part.

Well...

[Michi pauses, nervously fidgeting with the ridges on a the cap to one of the bottles. He could just say thank you, but apparently the art of brevity is completely lost on this one. Right now, he's too worked up to not just keep talking.]

I wanted some. And we've ended up with a lot of empty bottles lately. It seemed like a good idea. ...I'm glad it turned out to actually be one.

[Gladion isn't straying too far from where he's camped out with his family by one of the walls, but he spotted a familiar face in the dim light, and came over for just a minute.]

Michi, you're here, too?

[He glances down at the bunch of water bottles, and realises just how dry his throat is with all the being worried about everything. A bit sheepishly, he bends down to grab one.]

...I guess I will take one. Thanks.

[Michi looks up at his name, somewhat surprised to hear it coming from anyone, let alone a familiar voice.]

Aw man... I didn't know you were caught up in all this, too.

[Michi couldn't wish this on his worst enemies, let alone people he considered friends. There's a sinking feeling in his chest just thinking about it - he knew, of course, that every name belonged to a person. But most of the names were meaningless to him. Only a few of them had faces attached.

It's distressing to wonder how many people he knew in real life were on this. And he never knew, or had any ability to say anything about it...]

Hey, uh.. what's your name on the thing? .. the app. I mean. I'm the 10 Eligor.

[Saying 'Yuuto Kidou' just sounded strange.]

[He gives a vague nod to the first comment. It's crazy, really, how many people here he knows from somewhere. His family, friends, neighbors, schoolmates... even the much smaller kid who lives on his street. It's hard to imagine why all of them are dealing with this, whatever it is.]

Camio. I used "A" at first, but then the app started calling me "Gladion."

[He tries to smile at 'A' - that was because of his idea! - but it just doesn't last beyond a brief twitch. Michi just nods instead.]

I've seen you around there. I mean, we've spoken. But you'd know that. ...sorry. This all has me pretty frazzled. ... I'm sorry you're going through this, too. It was easier when I could say at least it happened to me instead of some other people.

[He opens the bottle of water and swallows a mouthful of it. It really is helpful, and he's not sure why nobody out of his group actually thought about water bottles.

The words, he can sympathize with all too well.]

Not just me, but my whole family, and Ciro and Gen, and Mako. [He shakes his head. Maybe that list is a surprise to Michi, but they're all there somewhere, and it's been bothering him, how many people he sees practically every day are affected by this.] I guess it's good to not be in this alone, but it's really crazy.

Your whole family...

[Michi toys with the cap on a water bottle, running fingers along the grooves back and forth instead of doing anything with it.]

I don't know what I'd do if my family was affected by this. You're right that it's nice to not be alone, but... I can't imagine that.

[That also applies to him, but Michi has no idea. It'll be fun to learn that, eventually. Something hits him then - a shred of the fear from that conversation of Luci sticks in his head.]

awakening

[personal profile] forsteri 2017-06-04 10:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[As soon as he'd had his own Awakening, he'd realized it. All those memories at the front of his brain -- and he'd spoken to those people recently! Kidou, Genda -- they were here somewhere. So Sakuma had started off to find his team, weapon clutched in both hands. He has to find them.

It doesn't take him long. The orchard is big, but even on foot, he makes good time. Just in time, too. He knows that cape. And part of his brain says 'Michi Yamashita', but the rest of it --]

Kidou!

[Sakuma doesn't have to think about his actions. He heads forward and, with a leap that surprises him in its speed and distance, runs one creature clean through and spears a second one in his path. They dissipate instantly and before he turns to Kidou he gets a glimpse of that creature of his, and then he's looking at him, mouth half open.]

You're here.

[Not what he meant to say, but... it spilled out of him before he thought of what he really wanted to say, which was "are you okay?"]
kouteipenguin: (Complete surprise)

[personal profile] kouteipenguin 2017-06-05 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
[A flash of silver darts inbetween him and the monster's reaching claw, leaving black mist behind. Kidou's head follows him instinctively, heart still pounding in his chest as what could have happened to either of them finally sinks into his mind. He'd know that messy hairstyle anywhere.]

Sakuma...?

[Yoshio Koutarou was Sakuma. Sakuma, who'd always been at his side if he needed him, always had a suggestion when he flagged, and ... Yoshio, who'd been doing the same thing. It made sense. There's no time to think about that right now. The panic in his mind crystallizes into something he can try to use to force him to focus, ignoring how hard his heart's racing and shoving all of that terror and anguish and feelings he doesn't have the ability to sort out into a desperation to do something. Sakuma's here. He's here. They both won't be here if he doesn't do what he's supposed to be doing.

Be the leader. People are counting on him.

Kidou's mind whirls, looking for somewhere to take this before they end up wasting precious time standing and talking. There's two from Teikoku here, aren't there? He'd seen them on the network.
Sakuma, and...]

...Genda.

[He turns partway, backing up a half step to keep Sakuma at his back. That way would give them better coverage of the field, and give him time to really look at the mad chaos all around him. It's just so much- black things oozing like liquid tar or losing their shape as they run in singleminded purpose. People - so few of them - standing in clusters or alone, trying to fight them off. He can't tell how many of the things they are, but he doesn't need to yet. They're vastly outnumbered. That's all that matters.]

Have you seen Genda?
forsteri: (067)

[personal profile] forsteri 2017-06-06 11:34 am (UTC)(link)
[Ah, and he's missed his window for expressing concern. Sakuma frowns, but mirrors that position behind him just as easily as any movement he's ever made on the field. Moving in tandem like this feels familiar -- it's welcome, in the middle of all this.

His back to Kidou's, he pulls out the bow, "nocking" instinctively. He can stop to breathe for a moment.]

No. Not -- I saw his -- you know, pre-remembering self. Not since the battle started, though.

[Sakuma had been lucky and come across Kidou with little effort. Genda, though... they'd have to look. He doesn't want to leave him out there. Genda is strong, and he can take care of himself, but -- it's been fourteen years, hasn't it?]

I want to find him, too. Before anything else -- are you hurt?

[Dantalion can do something about it, he knows without needing to wonder. He can heal him. His healing isn't amazing -- he's not built for that. But he can at least close shallow wounds and clot blood.]
kouteipenguin: (sakka is serious business)

[personal profile] kouteipenguin 2017-06-07 08:14 am (UTC)(link)
[Kidou's breath is way too fast. His heart, now that he feels it again, hasn't slowed down once, pumping adrenaline straight through his attempts at finding any grasp on the situation. His teeth grit briefly, head scanning around again. There's just black shapes and chaos, screams and horrible sounds of metal, gunfire... or worse, sounds of objects hitting things.]

No.

[Not physically. He's still reeling with the influx of information and overlay of chaos in his mind.

He can see much farther than he can see, but his vision is still limited by the angle he's looking at. He doesn't even have to think; he can just feel the hearts of others in his head, listen to them pulse without hearing a sound. It's disconcerting how instinctual it all feels.

Only once Sakuma asks does it hit him that he didn't ask Sakuma if he was okay. But neither does he need to. Sakuma is fine; he's not sure how he knows, but he does. There's no need to waste time on that question, is there?

Behind him, the penguin head on his persona tilts up.]

I'm fine.

[That's why he's shaking. Sakuma can't see it, but he might be able to tell that if they're actually touching.]

But...

[But he can't tell if others are. Sakuma is here, right next to him. He's fine. Every single second they spend like this could be a second that something horrible happens to Genda - or anyone, whether or not Michi knew them from before.

Kidou knows that he can't afford to waste time hesitating like this - especially not when he knows what he has to do. He has to lead. The need eats away at him, gnawing relentlessly on his self control, urging him to take action. Leading isn't standing around here, watching horrors in shock. He stiffens a little, squaring his shoulders to try to fake a confidence he can't find, and... still can't make himself move again. Every time he finds some resolve, his stare drifts from the monsters that Michi had watched brutally murder people over to the horrible amalgamation that rose from his shadow. He might have succumbed to that rush at first if not for that stark reminder keeping him frozen in place.

All three figures continue to stare back at him. He can already put words to the silence. Lead them. Do what you're meant to. It's grown into a physical ache at this point; he needs to do something. Kidou finally looks away from them as more murderous horrors start closing in on them, fingers tensing on the lowered sniper rifle in his hands.]
forsteri: (024)

[personal profile] forsteri 2017-06-09 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
Okay.

[That's the main thing. Sakuma is fine -- he's got blood on him, if Kidou happens to look directly at him, but even though it's his, he's uninjured. He took a blow for his brother -- for Mako. Not really my brother, he finds himself needing to remember. Just as much as I'm not really his.

Kidou trails off. Sakuma doesn't need to wonder. It's surreal -- Yoshio had spent time with Michi, had got to know him a little better. And now they've both woken from that sleep, and it feels like nothing has changed at the same time as everything has.

Sakuma backs up a half step, shoulderblades contacting Kidou's just for a second before he raises the bow again and pulls away. He turns first to the right to eliminate his blind spot and, loosing the first in a direction perpendicular to Kidou, continues to fire in a full 180 degree arch. He feels no conscious need to aim -- the arrows leave the bow and strike home as easily as he might simply point in the target's direction.

The monsters on his side clear, he moves to stand beside Kidou, rather than behind him. If Kidou turns his head to the right at all, he'll be able to see that penguin arrowhead. Sakuma still hasn't seen it himself -- as soon as the monsters die, the arrow disappears with them.]

We're going, [he says simply, and looses another arrow. If he can avoid making Kidou use that gun, he will.] We'll find Genda. Whoever else. Mako's fine, I'm not worried about him. [Sakuma has no doubt in his mind regarding Genda's abilities, but no matter how weak, it's easy to get swarmed when there are this many enemies.]
kouteipenguin: (Searching for a way)

[personal profile] kouteipenguin 2017-06-10 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
[It takes Kidou a while to take stock of Sakuma visually; the instinct in the back of his mind insists that he's unhurt, so there's no reason to waste time thinking about it. How he knows that isn't important. Just that he does.

What he does notice, though, as he's looking around them frantically, is that arrowhead. Sakuma couldn't see how his eyes widen even if they were facing each other, nor the determined set of his brows a moment later. But he says nothing about it at all.]

Right!

[A stab of guilt punches through him at that. It's his job to lead, not Sakuma's. He shouldn't be forcing anyone to fill in for him. Get hold of yourself, Kidou! He doesn't feel up to it at all, but he bites down on that feeling and forces himself to try. Genda is the mission right now. Not staring stupidly at things. If he can focus on Genda-

Kidou turns, gently pushing back with his shoulder, silently urging Sakuma to the side so they can turn in a circle. His eyes are better than they've ever been; the goggles might as well be telescopic for how far he can pick out detail. If Genda's anywhere here, he has an odd certain feeling he could see him eventually. But what he sees most are the black things seeping and swaying closer and closer. No amount of fighting them off with just a bow and the soccer ball under his foot are going to make a difference here in a bit. They are getting surrounded!

They have to move. Where, though? He continues looking-]

Follow me! Ready! Go!

[Without waiting for confirmation, Kidou darts off to the side, aiming for a gap that Sakuma's last shot opened up for them. He's been training for evasive action his whole life. He can only guess Sakuma must have, too. This will work. It has to!]

Reclaim the night

[personal profile] catchthishand 2017-06-05 09:31 am (UTC)(link)
[ Okuyasu's been in a lot of fights- most of them recently, but none this chaotic. This is more of a battle than a brawl, there's screaming everywhere, the crackle of fire and the cracking of ice, and the constant, endless shouting of voices in his head.

The last, at least, fade in and out as he moves across the field, like being in a car and going from station to station.

At the least, they tend to be useful, like how jumping to his left ended up causing a shadow to fade into nothing as the voice kills it it.
]

Thanks!

[ The wolf flickers into existence at his heels, biting out at one of the remaining shadow stands, while Okuyasu pivots to slam his fist into the main bulk of the other. ]

A wolf...

[Yes. Apparently, that's what Kidou latches onto. Not the fact he saved someone, not the fact that he did something horrible. Both of those things are shoved firmly to the back of his mind for when he can properly break down about them in private.

But unfortunately for Kidou, he's going to have to do some adjusting about how he talks to himself in his head. That would make this guy one of the wolf pack, wouldn't it?]

Good work. Keep going!

[The sniper rifle is useless at short range; the soccer ball isn't... but Kidou isn't going to use it to attack. Sweeping the soccer ball back with his heel, Kidou pivots out of the way of claws, then makes his way over to what he's sure is one of the Marchosias group. He does not. Want. To fight alone. Or at all, but only one of those is an option. It's easier to not think about what he's doing if it's to help someone else than to strike back at something...]

I'll cover you!
catchthishand: (Cherry Garcia)

[personal profile] catchthishand 2017-06-09 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Machosias!

[ Okuyasu calls out to the current voice- the name of his new stand is important. He's not sure how he knows it, but he knows it like he knew the name of the Hand, just like how Marchosias sits in the back of his mind the way the Hand did, an extension of his own body. Like another arm.

The wolf flickers, appears on the side closer to Kidou, clearing Okuyasu's path towards the telepath. As the wolf and teen fight their way through the mass of shadows, it becomes clear that it's fur is matted with blood, and it's snake headed tail lashes out constantly- either at enemies, or itself.

Either way, it's not long before he's made his way to meet up with Kidou, wolf flickering back into his shadow as the shadows are beaten back, for the moment.

[It just can't be helped - eventually a shadow gets too close, and Kidou's not fast enough to evade its outstretched claws. His hesitancy to attack vanishes in a bright flash of pain at his shoulder; Kidou grits his teeth and kicks his ball as hard as he can at his assailant. It remains a solid object just long enough for Kidou's ball to bounce right back to his raised knee; even as it starts to vanish he's shifting his grip on his sniper rifle to change his balance and whipping around with a sharp roundhouse kick to slam his soccer ball into another target.

His shoulder is really hurting, but he doesn't focus on that at all right now. It doesn't matter, even when he's cleared his surrounding area long enough to pull the rifle back out, and take aim at shadows trying to pursue the Marchosias.

One. Two. Three, and the back of Kidou's mind coils into a sharp feeling of panic. He doesn't have to see to know there's things right behind him now. He took all his attention off of his immediate area to try to be useful to someone else. Just above him, the penguin-headed cape part of his Eligor stares sharply at him, projecting an elite sense of harsh disapproval. The two figures carrying the winged platform it rests on stay silent and still. Kidou ignores all of that. He knows what it wants him to do, but he's just - he can't.

Kidou races forward, feeling the breeze across the back of his neck where the thing tried to attack, and doesn't stop running until he's reached his new ally's side. So, Marchosias. Winged wolf. He was right; that had to be that.]

So I was right. That's a Marchosias-

[There had been so many named Marchosias, though. Which one would it be? Kidou's got the benefit of using thought to transmit; he doesn't have to waste breath talking or time to say it. He reaches the Marchosias's side, automatically turning his back to him to face down his pursuers. Absolutely nothing he has is really meant for short-range combat, and Kidou knows it. He's not supposed to be at short range, he also knows.

So far, that just isn't stopping him.]

This clearing isn't going to last; we need to keep moving!

[ There's nothing Okuyasu can do from his distance, other than continue clearing his path towards his potential ally, snarling in irritation as he's too late to keep the shadow from landing a blow on Penguin-kid.

In his shadow, Marchosias snarls, then emerges, howling and sending a a light arcing off of it's wings to crash into him, dia offering a little healing.

Once they're together, Okuyasu works to keep the kid clear, memories floating to the surface of old fights, of how to work with others.
]

On it! Stay near me and I'll keep'em off you.

[ It's like Koichi- he worked better if he had distance, room to work. Penguin-kid looked like he was the same. Guns were long range, right?

In his shadow, his Stand snarls in his mind, ready to jump out and fight, and Okuyasu hesitates long enough to see where the guy with the gun wanted to go
]

Which way?

Jun weaves through the battle easily. He's used to it, used to slipping between and around hordes of demons to get an angle on them, used to staying in one place for a bit before moving on. He's never been up against these kinds of numbers all at once, before, and the field is an odd blend of groupwork and solo action, but he knew the game had changed the moment he felt Shax instead of Chronos.

Shax is meant to heal, he can tell that much, but he'd rather preempt the need. Unfortunately - he can't always, and he turns from cutting down another enemy (demons? are they demons?) to see one of them reaching for another Persona-user. Out of range for his flowers. The gun, then-

He misses.

Jun finds himself already darting closer, despite knowing he won't be able to prevent it from reaching the other. That's fine, not fine but not a disaster; angelic wings and monstrous tentacles rise from his shadow. The wings spread wide as he heals him. This one's unaccustomed to battle, isn't he?

"Stay focused, you should already know what to do."
