Who: Asher Gutermuth (Gladion) and YOU!
When: Any time in the week or so after the app appears
Where: Places Asher usually hangs out
What: Catch-all for AU CR stuff. Different prompt options inside.
A. Classroom, Lower Cycle Third Year
Class has just ended, and after everything that's happened recently, he's curious to check in on that bizarre chatroom. He pulls out his phone, a bit careful to set it so most other people shouldn't be able to see the screen, since he found out about that whole "really seriously private" thing after talking to the one person on the chat.
It doesn't seem to be any good, though, no matter how he holds the thing. There's too many people around and it just won't open. After a possibly weird looking few seconds of him trying different things, he gives up and drops the phone on his desk.
"Ugh, really?"
B. A School Courtyard
[At this point, he's trying to get his mind off of that weird app. Besides, whatever's going on, he still has homework to do, and since he doesn't have anything better to be doing at the moment, he may as well work on that. Time to plop himself down on a bench and pull out whatever that book is that he's supposed to be reading for his English class.]
C. Martial Arts Dojo
He shows up to his usual class, and goes about doing whatever exercises he's given as usual. And at first he seems just as laid back about it all as usual, but somewhere in the middle he remembers talking with someone on the chat about how being able to defend himself might be more relevant now than it has been. This class, he might be a little more invested in practicing that punch just a few more times.
D. His neighborhood
[Asher is out in his front yard, and so is a cat. It's not one he recognises, and he can't help wondering where it belongs. There's a bunch of strays around his neighborhood, so it could be one of them, but it seems pretty friendly for that. In any case, since the cat pretty happily came over to him, he kneels down in the yard to pet it.]
I don't have any food for you, though...
E. Wildcard
Anything else I haven't covered here, go for it.
[ooc: I wrote this with established AU CR in mind, but feel free to come at him with anyone. It's just as good for him meeting someone for the first time. I'm also good with writing in whatever format so I'll match how people respond.]

She should offer a witty retort here, but what she blurts out before she can even think about instead is--]
You're doing way better than me, y'know.
[Though despite her poor behavior, she nonetheless somehow she manages to get high scores on most of her tests.]
no subject
Well, that's true. You might end up doing better than me if you actually showed up, though.
[He's gotten glimpses of her test scores before, and talked to her enough to know she's not stupid. That compliment wasn't anything he'd been planning on saying to her, but honesty for honesty or something like that.]
no subject
C'mon. You sound like a teacher now.
[It's not the first time that she's heard that she could do better if she were to try, but it's certainly far more embarrassing to hear from a friend. Actually, it's a little dangerous coming from a friend. Better change the subject.]
What're you supposed to be reading, anyway?
no subject
The question takes him by surprise and he glances down at his book before looking back to her.]
It's called Animal Farm. [He shrugs slightly.] So far, it just seems to be about a bunch of talking animals.
no subject
Hmm... Sounds pretty boring. And you wanna waste your afternoon slogging through it?
[Hint, hint.]
no subject
Unless you have a better idea.
[He expects she does. Whether it's something he'll want to go along with is still up for debate, but he's not too intent on sitting around reading, in any case.]
no subject
[Which isn't to say that it isn't a great idea (goodness knows she certainly seems too excited for it to be anything less,) but even if it wasn't it would still be better.]
You know that cafe a couple blocks from here? Y'know, the one with all the really cute desserts? They're having a special where they make this huge parfait, y'know! It's like th is big!
[She holds her hands about a foot apart from each other, as though she were holding a basketball, then switches to showing the height. Needless to say, it's a big parfait.]
Anyway, I don't think that even I could eat it all by myself, so I thought we could share it!
[Actually, she doesn't want to share it at all. She just also knows she'll both get weird looks, not to mention be scolded by her guardians, if she gets caught eating that much by herself. She looks to him expectantly, practically beaming now.]
no subject
Are you sure you won't just wolf all that down yourself?
[He's seen her eat more than she seems like she should be able to before. But it actually sounds good, so he's definitely not turning down the suggestion.]
If you're actually going to share, though, I'm in.
no subject
[Kyoko folds her arms over her chest, shooting him a glare to let him know how offended she is, but it's more like watching a child huff and puff to cover up their embarrassment than anything. She bounces off the bench after just a couple brief moments of grumbling, reaching to tug at his wrist, but it seems like she's been pretty well thrown off for the moment.]
A-anyway, I wanna share it with you! So let's go!
no subject
He's a little surprised when she suddenly grabs his wrist, but it quickly turns back to a smile.]
Okay, lead the way.
no subject
It was probably actually meant to be shared by more than two people, and a price tag to match, but Kyoko pays no mind to that fact. She'd spent most of the trip here talking about the desserts and specialty coffee the cafe served. Now that it's in front of her, she's only all the more excited.]
See! I told you it was huge! There's more than enough for both of us, y'know.
[Maybe now he'll stop teasing her. Maybe it's because he's such a nice guy most of the time, she never knows what to do when he starts up. She plucks one of the sticks of pocky from the whipped cream, offering it to Asher as a show of her good intentions.]
no subject
You're right, this looks like it needs at least two people.
[With that, he chomps down the piece of pocky, then picks up a spoon, debating where to start on the mountain of sweet things.]
no subject
[She sinks her spoon in around the middle, scraping it towards her as she scoops up a dollop of whipped cream and strawberry.]
... And you take the other half! It'll be gone in no time.
no subject
This is really good.
no subject
[She's positively beaming now. Kyoko props up her elbow on the table, resting her chin on her palm as she stares across the table. She takes in a deep breath, and exhales loudly.]
Haah... It feels like it's been forever since we last hung out like this, y'know.
no subject
[Though now that he thinks of it, when was the last time they did this? Definitely not since he's been worrying about that weird app on his phone, but that's only been a few days.]
