There is a brief moment in which he's surprised to hear that from the ten year old. It's directly followed by him actually thinking about it.

"They'd probably just call it some kind of crazy cult thing if that happened." Good job, Asher, for coming up with a plausible cover story if they all die. But now that he's said it, he's not sure he would put it past Luci, and that's a terrifying thought he's not going to continue thinking about. He shakes his head.

"You're probably right, though. Maybe Luci has some kind of a plan... It would've been nice to be told what it is, though."
