It takes a couple of days after that for Akira to run across Mr. Socks- though the cat in a backpack might be the cutest thing he's ever seen. He will give the cat the treats, and a lot of pets, while he read the note and chews a piece of the taffy for himself. He's not supposed to take candy from strangers either, but this is probably fine.

And that's how Sol will find him, just sitting on the ground in the park with a very pleased Mr. Socks.
