John smiles, his head may still be pounding (the headache refusing to leave) but at least he has something to distract him for the time being besides the fire works. "Thanks. It's my mom's pride and joy...mine too I guess. So I'm glad you enjoy the food. We have a booth here too--I don't know if you've seen it yet." It's not viewable from their current location, but John gestures in the direction she would be able to find it in. "Of course, since it's nearly time to close up...you might have to wait until tomorrow," John adds, knowing that the fireworks are to signal the end of the day before curfew kicks in.

John doesn't realize it's not something she regrets saying, more curious about someone else with a mom that cooks. "Oh yeah? It is kinda like French cooking I suppose. Does your mom cook a lot?"
