"Y-yeah...I hope there isn't something going around," John manages. He still feels like his head is full of cotton. His ears aren't really ringing any more, but he has a feeling the pounding, weird feeling in his head isn't going to go away any time soon.
Although he can still hear the boom, he decides to ignore the fireworks for once. Instead he looks at the girl sitting across from him. Part of him wants to ask if she saw the same thing he had...but, no, that would be silly. And, on the off chance it's related to the other stuff going on, he doesn't want to risk making his headache worse. "Well...hopefully you'll feel better soon," he begins, hesitates and then blurts out, "Have I...seen you somewhere before?"
