It's not a bad excuse, though he glances toward the door of the place. There's a bouncer checking IDs as people come in the door, and while the scenario Kei mentioned is possible, he doubts the bouncer would have so thoroughly lost track of the kid who should only be there for a few minutes. He nods toward the doorway.

"I assume he's expecting you back out any second now, then." His gaze turns back to Kei. "I'll walk you to the door."
