Reimi tilts her head a little to try and catch the muffled words, but fails to glean anything coherent from the attempt. She doesn't pry, however, perfectly content to have done...whatever it was she'd done to bring a little sincere brightness to his disposition. Moments like that would be precious tonight.

The prediction comes true almost forcefully as soon as they enter the next layer of Kit's memories. The setting before them is so much like Morioh in so many ways that she finds herself startled to the brink of tears; only the sudden shift to the more intimate setting of Kit's former home and a very determined set of blinking prevents the waterworks from beginning. God, she missed home so much.

It's easy to distract herself with the appearance of an incredibly adorable baby, which she makes certain to comment on to that effect to her companion. As time accelerates before them she falls silent out of respect, quietly watching events unfold. It's a little selfish, perhaps, but she sees so much of Rohan in this childish overconfidence.
