For the moment, Ran has this handled. The Shadow lets out a guttural groan as her fist makes impact. In a rush to get back, it drops the weapon.

Unfortunately the sound draws Christina out of her daze. The visions quickly fall to the back of her mind once she notices the source. She takes a step back, arms in front of her in alarm.

"What... Who is that?!"

That is the least of their problems though. For although the first Culprit seems hesitant to strike, two more shadowy figures step out behind him. Similar to the first, they also carry blunt weapons.
